Appeared Personally: Harriet Halliday of No 69 Grosvenor Road Berkely Square in the county of Middlesex Widow; Joseph East of 13 Earl Street West Edgeware Road in the county of Middlesex Servant; Sarah East of the same place wife of the said Joseph East and George Attride of No. 3 Carpenter Street Berkely Square in the same county Coachman and gentleman severally made oath as follows and first the _____ said Harriet Halliday and Joseph East for themselves ____ and severally made oath that they are the subsribed witnesses to the paper writing or Will hereunto answered of Martha Attride late of Carpenter Street in the parish of St George Hanover Square in the county of Middlesex Widow deceased the same being containing in the words and figures following viz. December 9 I give during my life time all that I am possessed of to my children to be equally divided December 9. Witness my hand Dec 9 1847 and this subscribed Martha Attride and they further made oath that on the ninth day of December One Thousand Eight Hundred and forty seven aforesaid the said deceased duly executed the same paper writing or Will by signing her name at the foot or and thereof in the presence of these deponents who were both present at the same time and these deponents thereupon attested and subscribed the said paper writing or Will in the precense of the said deceased and of eachother ____ Sarah East and George Attride for themselves jointly and severally made oath that they are the son and daughter of the said deceased and were present with the said deceased at her _____ aforesaid on the same ninth day of December One Thousand Eight Hundred and forty seven that the deceased was at such time confined to her bed of the illness whereof she died on the following day of wit the ninth day of the said month of December One Thousand Eight Hundred and forty seven that the said deceased then viz. on the said ninth day of December One Thousand Eight Hundred and forty seven gave to the deponent George Attride the Bank receipts for the sum of £60 three and a quarter per cent _____ ____ annuities (being the only property whereof the said deceased died possessed) and his ___ after her death he had only to take the said receipts to the Bank with a certificate of her Burial to enable and to obtain the said stock for the benefit of himself and his brother and sisters and they further made oath that the said deceased shortly afterwards said the ____ as ____ put down in writing her wishes in respect to the disposion of the said stock after her death and requested the deponents Sarah East to write out for her in the said paper writing or Will which the said Sarah East then did at the dictation of the said deceased who thereupon constituted the same as before deposed their fellow deponents the said Harriet Halliday and Joseph East and that after the same had been so constituted as aforesaid the deponent George Attride took possession thereof and all the deponents now referring to the words ____ at the ____________ of the said ____ paper writing or Will namely ‘I give during my lifetime in jointly and severally lastly made oath that they verily and in their _______ believe and have not the slightest doubt that the said _____ in words were used by the said deceased ____ through _____ and _______ and that she meant and intended the said paper writing or Will to operate after her decease only and as and for her last Will and Testament and that the same is now in the very same plight form and condition as when constituted by her on the said ninth day of December last. On the 5th day of March 1848 the said Harriet Halliday Widow was only sworn to the truth of this affidavit.
On the 28th April 1848 with the Will ____ of the Goods Chattels and Credits of Martha Attride late of Carpenter Street in the parish of Saint George Hanover Square in the county of Middlesex Widow deceased was granted to George Attride one of the natural and lawful children and as such one of the _______ Legatees named in the said Will having been first sworn duly to administer.
